Our Team

The preparation of the teacher is twofold: to be sensitive to the mystery and to be sensitive to the wonder of life revealing itself.

Jasmine is Head of School at Aranui Montessori.

I begun my Montessori Journey in 1981.

My passion lies in working with children and my vast teaching experience has convinced me to believe that children learn best through experiences of exploration and self-discovery.

Given the right environment, children have the potential to reach amazing heights. As an educator, I highly respects each child’s personality and trust in their inner potential.

I feel extremely excited to pave the path for Aranui Montessori. I will do so by marrying my passion of working with young children and their families to Aranui's mission of empowering our little ones and equipping them with the necessary life skills for their future endeavours; not forgetting fostering their abilities to contribute to our societies in a positive manner.

I look forward to welcoming your precious little one to Aranui.

Hi, my name is Rania

Kia Ora and Salam, my name is Rania. I am a qualified Montessori teacher, and I have been teaching Montessori for the last eight years.

I achieved my Bachelor of Education (Montessori) at AUT.  My philosophy is to give children the freedom to explore and express their ideas by providing them with opportunities and letting them take risks.

Being a committed teacher to create and prepare the classroom environment that inspires children and fosters a love of learning.

I love seeing the smiles on children’s faces when they accomplish tasks and learn by doing various activities.

I am married and blessed with 3 amazing girls. In my spare time, I love to take my girls for walks at the park or bake muffins with them.

Hi, my name is Jess!

I am a second-year student working towards my Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood.

Learning is a reciprocal relationship; I love learning alongside children, seeing the wonderment, excitement and honesty in young faces.

Alongside the Montessori Philosophy and Te Whariki, I aspire to assist children with their belonging and well being to empower a lifelong love of learning

I thoroughly enjoyed the educational philosophy of the centre and added to my learning portfolio through personal self-inquiry-based learning to improve my teaching.

Hi, my name is Karin Zapatero!

I am from Peru, South America. I've been living in beautiful New Zealand since 1995.
I' m blessed with two daughters (15 & 12 years old) and lucky to have my mother and sisters living in NZ with their families.

I have studies in Communications, Community Work and Psychology. However, it wasn't until I had my children that I realize about the importance of early childhood education. Finally, in 2013 I got my AUT Early Childhood Bachelor, specialty: Montessori.

To me, the Montessori method is the best way to nurture and educate children. I'm passionate about the philosophy and look forward to work in partnership with you and your children.

In my spare time I love to spend quality time with family and friends. I'm learning meditation, love singing and dancing. I also enjoy baking, the arts, reading and socializing.

Hi, my name is Jihyun (Jenny)!

I graduated from University of Auckland with a Degree Bachelor of Education

My personal philosophy values each child as an individual, as well as part of a community

I believe the environment is a third teacher and can benefit the growth of a child’s learning development, as the physical environment impacts on the emotional climate, learning and well-being of the child.

My passion in sustainability areas like gardening and eco-friendly is also incorporated in my teaching philosophy.

I want to help children to develop their fullest and unleash potential in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I strongly believe that Montessori provides the best start for each child’s lifelong learning.
